Mount Kilimanjaro seen from the trail
Our Story

Built on the mountain, not in an office.

KiboQuest isn't a call center with a brochure. It's one local guide, based in Arusha, who has walked every route on this site and books every trip personally.

How It Started

I grew up in the shadow of Kilimanjaro, close enough to see the summit on a clear morning.

8 years and countless climbs later, it's the thing I know best: every route, every campsite, every season's weather pattern. Not from research. From home.

KiboQuest started because I got tired of watching good climbers get let down by bad planning: vague itineraries, guides who'd never actually done the route they were selling, prices that quietly grew once you'd already committed.

I wanted to build something smaller and more honest instead: an operator where the person planning your trip is the same person who'll be on the mountain with you.

Our Approach

Four things I won't compromise on.

  • 01

    Local Expertise

I live here. Every route, every campsite, every season's weather pattern. This isn't research, it's home ground.

  • 02

    Tailor-Made Itineraries

Standard packages exist because they're easy to sell, not because they fit everyone. Tell me what you actually want and I'll build the trip around it.

  • 03

    Responsible Tourism

The mountain and the communities around it aren't a backdrop. Every trip is planned to leave both better off, not just well photographed.

  • 04

    Straightforward Pricing

One quote, no surprise add-ons once you've booked. If something costs extra, you'll know before your deposit, not after.

What Drives This
“Get you to the top safely, and make sure the two weeks it takes to get there are as good as the summit photo.”
